I have experience on the following bottle inspection machines, from Emhart Glass
Veritas ViM, This is a rotational inspector, it does check inspections, mould number reading, wall thickness inspections, and with the optical equipment installed, sealing surface, and neck inspections.
Veritas ViB, this is a base inspection machine, using cameras to image the base and sealing surface areas to detect checks stones and other problems in the base, split and checked finish along with some other failure artifacts in the finish area.
Veritas ViC, this machine is the Wall Inspection machine, again using cameras to image the walls of the container, the operator sets up each camera with it's filters and rules to detect stones, blisters, checks, leaners and other defects which the cameras can detect and be set to alarm for.
I install security camera systems based on a software package known as ZoneMinder, www.zoneminder.com
This product is Open Source, it runs on a Linux based machine, for those of you who prefer windows there are many software packages which will run under that OS, but few of them offer the power and flexability of ZoneMinder, with the ability to run on rather low powered machines and still manage a number of cameras. I also do small networks, home networks and WiFi networks. Lock them down, recommend to customers what they may need to add to their network in order to extract more utility out of it.
